Learning Microsoft Office
Mediation of PC basics
Computers and the Internet have a truly outstanding significance in our time. The development of this technology has only just begun. The use of the Office package is a basic tool for every employee. Many people think that these programs have to be experienced intuitively while working, or that they have to be able to learn them. This is not at all the case in practice.
Time pressure and internal stress are the rule. This makes it impossible to have a look at the Office package at your leisure. So take the little time and you can navigate to this site get to know the most important functions of these programs. Use them to facilitate and perfect your own work – it’s worth it.
What’s the point of learning PowerPoint?
Often it is the little tricks that make it easier to use PowerPoint and make a proper presentation possible in the first place. You are always expected to make a good impression, and many a boss takes the use of this program for granted. It is impossible to refuse a presentation requested at short notice. If you don’t at least master the most important basics and only have to acquire the necessary knowledge under time pressure, I don’t want to be in the employee’s skin.
It is certainly not difficult to prepare a simple presentation. However, it is impossible to make a good presentation if you don’t know the possibilities the program offers.
Why should I learn Word?
Tap a few sentences on a document, then save and print the whole thing. There really isn’t much to it. To what should one learn then actually still this program? This question is asked very often. Then I ask back, why did you buy such a program at all? You could have simply used your WordPad. You have it for free on your PC.
Well, you can see it already, writing a few sentences doesn’t make Word any easier to use. Even if you don’t want to use all functions, you should at least know the possibilities. In the foreseeable future you will have to deal less with printed documents than with electronic files.
It is important to format them according to standards. So they can also be processed by machines. Once the text has been written, it can be used universally. Even if you never write a serial letter or create a table yourself, you should know that it works and how it works, just to be prepared for the future.
Learn Excel?
I don’t need Excel. You hear that very often. Many have it only so on the PC, because it was just with it. At best, this may apply to the private sector, although there are many possible applications there as well.
There are not only timetables for the children or the bank affairs to seize. One can also e.g. create a logbook with every imaginable comfort or make a calendar in which all dates are already registered. This is just the thing for shift workers. Not to mention the professional requirements. The ability to use the Office package is often taken for granted. If you don’t know what Excel can do, you won’t know if you need it.
Become an office professional for free
The Microsoft Office package has been an integral part of professional life for years. Many employees are therefore expected to have a sound knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Microsoft regularly launches new Office versions on the market. In order to keep up with the features of the revised program, it is worth attending training courses. However, these are sometimes quite expensive. If you don’t (yet) have the necessary small change, you can fall back on courses that Microsoft offers on its official website in video form.
Trainings for beginners and advanced users
If you want to learn more or refresh your knowledge, you will find various MS Office courses in the “Support” category that provide useful tips and assistance on all aspects of Office applications. The range of courses on offer is extensive; Microsoft has really made an effort here.
You can choose from training courses on Office, Access, Excel, FrontPage, Word, Outlook and many more for versions 2003, 2007 and 2010. Learn how to make the transition from Office 2007 to Office 2010 or how to create visually stunning documents in Word 2010. All courses have a structured structure that is divided into individual chapters.
So you can jump between the sequences or view and pause them several times if necessary. The courses are designed for beginners as well as for experts, depending on your existing knowledge. At the end of a course, a knowledge test is carried out, which asks for the learning contents. This test can also be repeated at will until everything is in place.
